Is there a difference between an emotion and a feeling? Have you ever really considered this question?
I hadn't until recently.
Emotions are energy that has motion, passing into our physical body giving us a physical sensation and expression.
Feelings are the thoughts we have about the emotions we feel. How we interpret the emotions we feel.
Emotions are multi-faceted experiences that cover body expressions, body language, hormone and chemistry changes, whereas feelings are intellectual perceptions and a conscious experience where we can deduct the body expressions and place words to them that help us arrange into thought what we are experiencing.
Your body can have an emotion of sadness that triggers all kinds of responses in the 4 bodies (physical, mental, emotional, etheric) and yet you might not be able to identify that you "Feel" sad.
Your feelings are the conceptualization of what is occurring within you. And I do mean within you. Inside of you.
Emotions are energy and they do play a role in our humanity and evolution. We are designed to experience emotions, then understand how we feel about the experience, and release that emotion away from us. To pass through us.
Yet too much of the time we hold on to the emotion, consciously or unconsciously. This is where things get tricky for us. Trapped emotions cause all sorts of physical problems in the body. I think I should do a whole blog post on that right there.
For now however, if you feel like you have experiences in your life your body has been holding onto; traumas of all kinds and levels, perhaps Emotion Code is something you could benefit from. It is a non invasive way we can help you further your healing journey without energy trapped and instead giving it the motion it needs to release. You can book a session with me here. I look forward to helping you recover more of your true Self.
